Jamie Erdahl- Bruins Rink-side Reporter
Jaime Erdahl’s Arrival in Sports News
Jaime grew up as a rabid sports fan in Minneapolis. She played basketball and softball in St. Olaf College in Minnesota. She then pursued her dream of becoming a professional sportscaster by transferring to AU. This resulted to giving up her passion for sports and focused more on going to a city with more media outlets. She graduated in AU with a communications degree in December.
Jaime Erdahl replaced popular Bruins rink side reporter Naoko Funayama starting the 2013 season. You may have also seen her fill in for Jenny Dell for various Red Sox games this summer.
You probably recall Jaime getting caught in a Johnny Gomes gatorade shower after a Red Sox walk off win.
In addition to doing Bruins games , Erdahl will also continue her role as NESN Sports Today anchor.
During her junior years, she interned for associate athletics director and communications under Nancy Yasharoff who is a member of the Washington Capital’s Public relations office. Nancy speaks to SOC professor Meredith Geisler’s sports communications class where Erdhal was enrolled in. Yasharoff was struck by Jaime’s potential and asked her to host Eye on the Eagles, which currently airs on Comcast SportsNet.
